Puppy Love!

My neighbor has 2 Brittany Spaniels, Dottie and Rusty. Rusty is the newly acquired boyfriend for Dottie in hopes that she will have puppies soon. Well all morning yelps of ecstasy (or terror) filled the air. And of course I had to peak at the two lovebirds. And what I saw made me laugh out loud! Dottie is trying hard to get Rusty off her, but he is stuck! Seriously! Dottie is trying to throw him off and Rusty will not let go. Then Dottie throws him off but not ummmm... out. They are stuck butt to butt and the yelps are now from Rusty! I call JaDee and he says that yeah, that happens sometimes and yes IT is bent backwards to get him stuck that way and you just have to wait it out. Well after about a half hour my neighbor comes home. Dottie sees her and pops off Rusty, who then immediately starts to survey the damage and licks himself for the next half hour. I guess Dottie ran into the house and hid behind a chair for the rest of the day!

Yeah, and it totally happened again yesterday when the kids were home from school. My little neighbor girl behind us said, "Mrs. Moncur, why is Dottie stuck to that other dog!"

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
