Cousins

This past weekend we were in Vail Valley CO with 14 children ages 1-12. We piled into EmRee's town house and enjoyed each other immensely. Here it is in photos.
This was our biggest obstacle in deciding to move to Alaska (see post below). We are a tight family. Our kids are each others best friends. We will drive 8 hours in any direction, pile in the smallest house, share every scooter, and love every minute of it. We won't be close enough to dash off for a weekend which we do every spare minute. We play hard and love even harder. We cry, pray, support and watch out for each other. The cousins are thick and we know distance wont' cut through it. And I bet they each make it up to the Great White North to see us at least once these next 3 years. In fact, we are counting on it!
Love you!

Mykelle, Zac, Carter and Porter poor Scotty is in school!

The Nichols clan: Or as CaMee may say, "Who are all of these kids and why do they keep calling me Mom?!!"

The next group to watch: Olivia and her boys, Grant Preston and Benjamin get each other dizzy on this spinning thing!

The kids tackled Uncle JaDee

Silly faces are made sillier with fruit by the foot sticking out of your mouth

Olivia and one of her boys...with two sets of Identical Twins in this family who can be sure who anyone is!

Again more spinning with Uncle JaDee at the helm

Ice cream and a movie in the living room...oh the freedom!

WHaaaat!?!? I guess this means we won't be getting together for awhile! But, congratulations! You will have an awesome time, and especially knowing it is limited, you will probably do as much as possible while you are there. You will be missed-I was planning to come see you in March-surprise! You better keep up with your blog. I love how you write exactly how you talk. I can HEAR you! Maybe you can have a little eskimo while up in the Great White:)

Love ya! Sylvia

I am so sad you were going to come here and I am going to miss it! You'll just have to keep heading North. Like way North. I know I was going to plan a trip to Vegas soonish too! You want to come up and help pack. I am sure with a new baby you have all kinds of extra time to things like that! PS you need to do a new post!~

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
