Oh the sun!

We are at the farm in WY until the 28th.  It has been wonderful.  Oh it is hot and sunny and my bones are warming up. Here are some highlights. But no pictures yet.

3 little kitties rescued from the drain pipe
2 English Mastiffs artificially inseminated
1 cow gave birth and lost its insides in the process
1 calf is now being bottle fed
1 hike to Porcupine Falls in the Big Horn Mountains
Carter learned to drive the riding lawn mower
Olivia collects the eggs every morning
Ethan swam with flippers and a mask in the pool
Carter jumped off a 40 foot cliff into the reservoir
Ethan blew up an ant hill with bottle rockets
Olivia learned how to dive in Grandma's pool.
Got a sunburn for the first time in 2 years!

Still to come:

Yellowstone for 2 days
Carter, Grandma and EmRee have birthdays
McNiven Cousin Women's conference
Burlington Days and parade
Flood the yard

PS- I saw a dead moose on I-80.  does it make the moose counter or is that strictly an Alaskan thing?

I'm guessing the the bottle fed calf is the result of the cow having it's insides exposed? It was good to see you last weekend! I'm thinking that will be the last time for a long time...until now I've seen you probably about as much as I would if you still lived in Perry. :)

Definitely sounds like Wyoming! What a great time for all of you, especially your kids.

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
