A fall tour around the house

Ethan practicing his archery skills.  He is really quite good!

Champ guards the bird feeder from those pesky squirrels with a vengeance!
This is my favorite tree.  I have a window that frames it perfectly.
Here is Olivia's play house nestled in the woods.  She spends most of her time in here making mud pies and yelling for dad to kill the spiders.
This is our house. Notice the 3 car garage only houses the broken bug.  We have about three weeks until we start having frost in the morning and the van will need to move in.  We got rid of the extra fridge (one of two extras) and the extra washing machine so there might be room for the bug in the 3rd bay once the bikes get hung from the ceiling for the winter.
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood
Can you see that big set of mountains way off in the distance?
This is what I get to drive home to...

Oh it is so great to actually "see" where you live. No doubt your in the woods - with all those trees. Such a different look than my house, in a new neighborhood with twigs as "trees". Twigs that we paid good money to plant, too! I love the beautiful pine tree....

What a beautiful area...it's nice to see a real neighborhood, and a nice home. When Greg brought back video and photo's from his trip, he made it look like one big rustic fishing hole. I love Liv's play house tucked in the trees, perfect for a princess. Hope you all are doing well, and that the school year is off to a great start.

I know, it is good to finally "see" some pics of your house and where you live. Everything is beautiful there. I love Olivia's play house outside, I can see her playing make believe there. I want to come visit soon!

I can smell the trees! Stunning. Sad that it will all be under snow soon.

This just shatters all of my (false) impressions of what I thought Alaska was like. It's so beautiful! Look how GREEN it is! All those trees remind me of Virginia! Thanks for sharing where you live.

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
