MJ revisited

Oh my gosh! I cannot get this song out of my head!! It has been giving me chills since I heard it Tuesday night. I have always loved the cello. I actually taught myself how to play it in eighth grade when my orchestra teacher wouldn't let me switch from the violin that I had been playing since third grade. I would go down at lunch to one of the practice rooms and borrow a cello and some books and figured the basics out on my own. Sadly I never got near this good nor do I remember much of the bass clef. Anyway, cellos are my favorite stringed instrument.  Bar none, even though I can still play my violin...barely.  9 years of private lessons and orchestra make it hard to forget. Kind of like riding a bicycle.

What is funny is I am really not a Michael Jackson fan. Like at all.  As in never will I stop for a Michael Jackson song on the radio nor have I ever.  But this episode of Glee made all of his songs sound good!

Here are the same guys (2Cellos) performing With or Without You, by U2....Another song that gives me chills.

I just saw an article on 'why the cello is going pop'. I love good music and its great that a beautiful instrument like the cello is getting more popular attention.

I played the cello for two years before I was forced to give it up when we moved (long story). I has been one of the biggest regrets of my life. Thanks for posting the videos. Awesomeness.

I don't have tv so don't get to enjoy glee music unless it plays on my pandora station. Thanks for sharing, loved it!

I loved this episode, too. I've always enjoyed MJ music, but never was a serious fan. I've been so impressed with all the Glee re-makes of music...but the Journey collection is still my fav.

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
