I was surfing Etsy for some fabric when I stumbled on these.
This is what Crea8tiveMama has to say about her product.
Benefits include:
Save money
Save Mother Earth
No chemicals, dioxins or sticky wings
No rashes or yeast infections are caused by cloth pads
More comfortable
Set of 2 cloth pads.
The details:
Measures: Approximately 9" in length and 3" across when the wings are snapped.
Materials: Made of a comfortable snuggle flannel with a layer of waterproof fabric and absorbent zorb sewn securely in between.
Closure: Wrap-around your panties wings secure with a snap!
Flow Meter: My pads will contain a medium/heavy flow.
Simply store used pads in cold water (to help prevent staining) and then toss them in the wash. If cared for properly, they can last for years.
What do you think?

I can't even begin to comment......all I could think of was I already hate doing laundry
I as mental health therapist for the last 10 years of my life I always think that I have heard it all, but alas there are still new crazy things being done that I learn about. Not only is that DISGUSTING, DISTURBING, but WHY WHY WHY would you tell anyone? This caused my first trimester pregnant self to almost vomit this morning.
Yikes! I suppose it's a throwback to earlier days, and kudos to the ladies who are taking "reduce" to this level, but the description...a party? I think not.
I have a friend who swears by the Moon Cup. I try to admire the energy all of this must take.
But no - even as a cloth diaperer, this is definitely not for me.
That is nasty. Are you supposed to wash and then reuse? And I'm sorry, but there is no such thing as a "party in your panties" when it comes to that time of the month!
One word.....GAG!!!!!!
The idea had never even crossed my mind.....what next, reuseable tampons?!? I know I was born in the modern day for a reason, so why defer to archaic methods? I guess I'm not a mother earth lover....
Dry-heaving. That's what you're hearing me do. What will someone think of next, disposable...well, nevermind. I was about to take it to a whole other level.
In a desert climate, using more water for laundry is not helping the environment, thank you very much.
And. Ew.
Yuck! Why?? I think this is the official limit to being environmentally friendly.
Thanks so much for sharing this Nicole. I still think cloth diapers are even grosser. My grandma said they used to just wash the poop out in the toilet. I want to gag... want to gag some more? Marin went pee in the toilet and left the lid up. Kate decided to sample some toilet paper. I was DYING! Poor little Kate didn't know what on earth her mother was freaking out about. I told Mitch just to see if he'd faint on the spot. I tell you that story to get back at you for telling me about the party in the panties!
There is a reason that they invented disposable feminine products and diapers. Lets not mess with a wonderful invention!!!!
I agree- no way. I can just see my husband wondering why there is a bin of used pads in the laundry room soaking.
If you want to be environmentally responsible, a girl I work with swears by these:

When she told me about them, it sounded gross - but it is interesting.

Ohh, no you didn't post this! You have left me unable to even gag since I'm laughing so. I think they are so darn attractive . . . but, no. Definitely NO! Some things we can regress to for it seems to bring soothing to the soul, but this is definitely not one of those things!
Cute fabric!
Not a chance! Like it isn't unpleasant enough! Why would you want to make more work for yourself!
