Snow!

I know, I live in Alaska, there should be snow. And that is exactly why this is a happy exclamation point after the word Snow in the title.

I mentioned we were not. done. skiing. YET! and all of our trails were icy and rocks were starting to poke through and there were huge mucky puddles in the streets from our 50+ inches that were melting.

But this morning, it is coming down again!

We are also at just over 10 hours of daylight.
Sunrise: 8:12 AM.
Sunset: 6:14 PM

I woke up really excited to see the snow...surprisingly I wasn't ready for it to go away...it was so gross and dirty, the snow masks the ugliness!

I told Mitch I would take ski lessons next winter. He's holding me to it. I'm going to get good enough to keep up with Marin... well at least until she's done skiing the green runs, he he.

At least you have a good attitude about it! I can't wait for ours to melt fast enough. I am sick of coats and not being able to go outside!

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
