Memorial Day videos

We went to Ninilchik this weekend on our 2nd Annual Memorial Day Campout with some friends. We clammed on Saturday, saw no King Salmon that were supposed to be running the river we were by, but had a great weekend with great people. Here is some video of that with more to post later on.

I had no idea that clams were under the ground!? What a tough, dirty job, but it looks like a BLAST! Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing!

What a fun time! You know, the entire time I lived in Washington, I never went clamming. It looks like a lot of fun, especially when you have equipment and aren't just digging with your hands. :)

That looks like so much fun! Did you guys get as cold as last year or were you more prepared this time around?

PS- I loved how Olivia wanted to kiss the clams! She is hilarious! And with those videos you are going to give Blake the bug to move to AK. :)

We never tried clamming while we were in Oregon - no equipment and you had to buy a license too. Besides, I wouldn't know how to cook the things even if we did. :)

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
