the unveiling
A little quote or two...
“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving
"Education enriches the mind and enlightens the
soul," --Nicole Moncur 2008"Reading can be dangerous." --Diane Setterfield, The Thirteenth Tale
BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. CampbellI always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston

It is all starting to look like home and I think that you need the bright yellow in the great white north!

That's an awesome little desk corner there. I like the little kiddie place too.
Oh Nicole you have whipped that lemon yellow kitchen into a cheery and gorgeous state!! I've lived here 8 years and still haven't gotten things all cute and together like you have! Well done!!
Super cute. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the drawing table. That will be copied in my new home.
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
You and Xena have such talent. Every time I use a glue gun, I burn my fingers, and end up with a blister.
I love your desk area with the little pails. Way cute!!
I love the yellow! We just painted our basement green...even the floor.
I love your dining room! It looks great! It is so organized.
How fun! Looks great. Long live Xena.
Super cute house. How great to have a happy sunny yellow in Alaska where its always dark and cold or light and cold. Talk about extreme...
I need Xena! I also do not sew, do not even own a sewing machine, and my one experience with sewing in 9th grade consisted of surging my pillow case 5 inches too short to cover the pillow. I LOVE what you've done and I LOVE the window coverings. I painted Marin's room a really light yellow the other day and the new baby room green-- I got the colors from Pottery Barn Kids and they're so cute! When I finish the rooms I will post pictures. I wish you were here to see it and give your opinion! I guess you'll be here soon enough-- so will my baby, by the way. 4 more weeks until I get induced if I haven't already had her!!!!
Wow! That looks great!! I love the cheerful yellow. I was hot gluing my youngster's IKEA dresser back together again this morning and he managed to step on my hot glue gun with his bare foot. Ooops.
