Goodbye Yellow Kitchen

PS The before pictures are posted last because I am too lazy to switch them right now.

Good-bye yellow painted kitchen and dining room.  I can't say I will miss you.

are you leaving them white? I can't imagine you having white walls in your house.

How did you last this long with that yellow?! Good for you making it go bye-bye!

Wow that must have been a lot of work! I want to paint my kitchen/family room but taping around all the cabinets just seems like it would be such a pain.

Thank you for appreciating the awfulness of Spencer's birthday photos and yes I am glad that Cara will be so handy in a crisis. Even if she is one of the most un-photogenic people I know at least she can do chest compressions on me if I go into cardiac arrest.

P.S. Your kids have grown up so much since I last saw them, Olivia is a doll and the boys are so handsome!

Ha ha, I just read your comment to Avree's latest post. I'm so thrilled she posted all of those awesome pictures of me. I didn't notice until you said so but Marin really does look like a little chubby kid in that picture! It's awful! Your kitchen looks great. Is it some kind of gray or is it really white? I'm with Courtney, I can't imagine your walls white. Oh, and laugh all you want about my mad CPR skills Nicole and Avree, but you may thank me someday. Maybe that's what I'll teach at the McNiven women's conference!

I am excited to see the new walls. I must admit that I am really going to miss sitting in the happy yellow in the dead of winter!

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
