Anyone full?

#27 Grateful for the food I have to eat and the friends and family who share it.

After a great Thanksgiving at Bachelor Brother Jared's in which I forgot the camera, we had AshLee and Alisa and boys over Saturday for a quick trip down from Idaho for one last visit before the big move. I had all the fixin's for chili and cornbread. So I am grateful for my food storage.

#28 A great day with the boys and their curious minds.

Friday, the boys and I trekked to Salt Lake to see the exhibit Body Worlds 3. AMAZING! We saw inside every part possible of the human body. Ben and Stephen were able to join us and we had a marvelous time. Afterwards we met Katie at my new favorite watering hole in Salt Lake called "The Bakery." 250 S 300 E for anyone interested in good atmosphere and good food. A must for any of my favorite watering holes.

#29 I am grateful for cheap but classy Swedish furniture.

I dropped a chunk of change at IKEA after our fun in Salt Lake. We have loved IKEA since our days in Delaware when Kris W. and I would run to Maryland in the afternoon because the IKEA outside of DC was bigger than the one in Philly 20 minutes from our homes and there was a super Target in the same parking lot. Heaven...

I got shelves with doors, TV stands with drawers and benches with all things storage for our new digs in Anchorage. Since it is looking like we will end up with a smaller house than we have here (and I thought everything in Alaska was huge...wait, that's Texas-And AK is like the size of 3 Texases!!!) I spent a fraction of the amount I would in Alaska. And hey, I'm not packing it. We have movers.

Seriously, my trolley looked like this and I had to flirt with teenage boys at the loading dock to load the minivan.

And for the grand and final Thanksgiving post....

#30 I am grateful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, His Church in which I am a proud (but humble) member, and the blessings afforded me by the restored gospel here in this earth.
Merry Christmas this season.

Wait a second....how did that oh so true to life shot end up here!

Are you kidding me?? You came down this way and did not even say hi?? I will forgive you this time but this time only!!!
Looks like you are are having lots of fun here in Utah before you take off to Alaska. When are you moving? From your post, I thought maybe it had been delayed?

How funny! We spent Friday at Ikea and Temple Suare too. We ate at Mimi's Cafe, my favorite. I'll have to try out the Bakery though. I'd never been to Ikea and we loved it! I can't believe the prices. You definitely won't find anything like that in AK.

Oh, I love your new header picture, and all the pictures at Temple Square. What fun memories for your little family. I guess with you moving there is no chance of a ski reunion in January:(:(
We hope to go again. I need some EM time;)

I love your pictures at Temple Square! What a cute family! I had heard the Christmas lights were spectacular, and I completely agree after seeing your pictures.

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
