A Conundrum

The meaning of the word conundrum is :

1: a riddle whose answer is or involves a pun 2: a question or problem having only a conjectural answer b: an intricate and difficult problem
And this is what I find myself in. See I got invited to go on an all girls 5 mile back packing trip the weekend after Memorial Day. My good friend Bethany invited me and my good friend J is going too. Both enjoy camping and as you all know, I, alas, do not. So here in lies the conundrum, if I go I get to hang out with some awesome friends and meet some new ones; I get a break from the kiddos on an overnight, even; I get to see Alaska and its amazingly beautiful atmosphere. The problem is it is camping. And we are already going camping for 3 days as a family this weekend so that would mean 2 weekends in a row NOT in my big comfy bed, shower, or dare I say comfortable. So I am asking you all in a poll what I should do.

Should I stay or should I go?

GO,GO,GO!!! You will be fine, and it will be incredible. And if it sucks, at least you will have some fun blog stories to tell! =) Oh! And you can use it as an excuse to buy cute camping stuff (that's what I would do!)

Go. You won't be in Alaska forever, and your moose counter needs an update.

Go, Go, Go!!!! It's an opportunity and even if you hate it, you will have always had the experience. You might have regret if you don't just go and try it out.
P.S. LOVE the video!!!

GO! Your bed will be there when you get back! A planned overnight controlled adventure in Alaska may not be available again!

As a fellow camping opponent, I would say...can they meet you for dinner before or breakfast after??

Oh go if you want to. Please bring moose and bear repellent. But don't say I didn't give you good non-camping advice.

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
