applesauce

What else says fall besides homemade applesauce!

We ate it before we took pictures of the finished product. But rest assured it tasted good. Especially on Whole Wheat pancakes. And JaDee added cream on top of that to make it taste even more like pie than it already did.

I just put in apples, water and cinnamon. Then cooked and cooked and cooked it at a slow boil until it turned into applesauce!

mmmm that looks good. I can't believe the pic of Carter. He is really thinning out and looking more and more like a teenager!

I've never made applesauce. I've had one lady tell me she puts a tablespoon of redhots in hers to make "pink applesauce" and now her kids won't eat it any other way.

YUMMY!

A little quote or two...

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
