peace

Amber and her boy Ammon photo courtesy Amber's Website

I have a friend in Perry who for the last 3 and some years has been battling stage 4 Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Her 5 children range from just older than Carter to Olivia's age. She and I were pregnant together this last round 4 years ago. And shortly after her baby was born came her Stage 4 diagnosis. They gave her 22 months.

She made it 42.

Last night she passed away.

We all knew it was coming. But it is still never easy to hear. I am sure the hardest thing about her battle was knowing she would be leaving her kids. They are a great family.

Read about her here. Please. Her example will change your life.

Bless you, Amber, now at peace.

One day several months ago I clicked on Amber's name on your friends list. I have been reading about her everyday since. She seems to have been a fantastic lady. I pray her husband and children will have the spirit with them at this time.

I'm so sorry. Prayers to those left behind and thanks to she who has fought and taught so much.

Thinking of you during this sad time.

That is so sad, and especially so with all those sweet children left behind. She sounds like a brave, brave lady.

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
