I leave you with this...
But as a last post, seeing as how I still have to pack, write a schedule for the hubby, a list of what not to pack in Ethan's lunch, and fill out a couple of school papers for the boys, I thought I would share this.
For weeks I have been wanting some of JaDee's family to get on Facebook. My sibs and I have fun on it so I thought how fun for my in-laws too! My friend (who was really the in-laws friend first) Kristy and I were bugging red-headed sister EmRee. But instead we got her brother, Ashlee, on Facebook.
He is the cool one, with the I-phone, trips to Mexico, super cute wife, and 3 well behaved children. Of course the cool people are on Facebook, right? Well he had a bad experience. AshLee put down all that pertinent profile information like where you live, graduated from, and hometown. Then he sat back and let Facebook do its thing.
Which is to send People You May Know alerts to everyone from the same places you are from. Poor AshLee got bombarded with people from his high school class (OK), JaDee's class (again not too bad since they were in high school together), then his older sister's class (weird, since they never hung out but still kind of OK), then from people in the little brother and sister's classes (not OK because AshLee does not even know them).
Then came the updates. AshLee would log onto Facebook and there would be "SO and SO is going to a meeting!" or "SO and SO is brushing her teeth!" or other mindless crap that we all put down to stay "connected." Except poor AshLee could hardly handle it. Does nothing important ever happen on facebook? Is this all there is, updates on what everyone ate for breakfast? So he politely closed his account. Called the half dozen or so whom he did not want to offend to tell us it was nothing personal, and resigned from Facebook. Forever.
We will miss you AshLee.
See the rest of you in a week!
A little quote or two...
“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. CampbellI always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston

Okay, so I'm one of those crazy ones that added him as a friend. But, since I am part of the family, I guess it wouldn't be all that crazy. That's to bad. The same thing happened to me. People from grades of all ages were requesting to be my friend, and now I have over 100 friends. More than half I have never even talked to in person. FB is pretty crazy. It has been fun seeing a few people, and my cousins. I much rather blog any ol'day. So sorry Ash wasen't into it.
You can probably leave your down winter coat at home this week! Yay!
I prefer blogging to Facebook too.
Have fun on your ALONE trip!
I recently deactivated my fb account for the same reasons. No offense;)
Yay UTAH!!! BOO! Facebook. I totally know. I just got on about a month ago and its cool to see everyones profile, but after a day or two I was like..."thats it?" I thought it would be cooler than it is.
