Wicked was...

Wicked COOL!!!

I went with pretty high expectations but also expecting said expectations were too high. I was pleasantly blown away at the level of talent, emotion, and academic thought that this musical inspired in me.

I am at my sister's house now and should be mingling with family and mushing on my cute niece (who loves me more than she loves my mom thank you very much even though this is our first meeting and since my mom won't take the time to come look at my blog even when I am here to show her how to do it, I can say whatever I want about ma mere...trust me, I feel a post brewing on this subject)

So I bid you adieu and so help my kids when I get back we will be listening to Wicked soundtracks in the car for the entire summer!

My mom doesn't look at my blog either. I wish she would. I have to spend 20 minutes each time we speak recapping what I wrote about in my blog posts while my siblings glaze over with boredom because they've heard/read the story already. Poor mom. She's still trying to figure out e-mail.

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

"Education enriches the mind and enlightens the
soul," --Nicole Moncur 2008

"Reading can be dangerous." --Diane Setterfield, The Thirteenth Tale

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
