This is my story

My friend Linda has a story. It pretty much defines her life as one of unexpected and often embarrassing situations. It really is a good one. So click here too.

My story is much simpler. I pick the wrong line at the check out EVERY TIME !!!!Without fail I am the one behind the lady who's gift card won't swipe (today) or at the register that runs out of tape and the new kid doesn't know how to refill it (yesterday) or waiting 20 minutes at the book fair to buy a few new friends for our library (last week).

So if you see me standing in line at the check out, do not get behind me...it may take a while.

and on another note. I am about to comment on the economy. I have one course of economics under my belt and very little time to keep up on world news (hello, I am blogging). But I did happen to catch a bit about the great and all powerful G20 summit today.

It was also pointed out to me that the Dow was up in response to the meeting today.

So here is my solution. If the Dow responds positively to the fact that these 20 world leaders are in the same room why don't we just lock them all together until this whole economic crisis is over?
Problem solved.

I like it!

I'm the same about checkout lines too. Do you think it's because of DNA, aura, karma, or gremlins?

oohh, I like that idea! Also, I think if the media were to say "hey the economy is better!" it would be a self fulfilling prophecy.

PS- I was blog stalking and found a weird way someone spelled Olivia and wanted to share it with you: Alivyiah
I had to do a double take, not teaching anymore, I'm rusty on my "what the heck is that name" skills. Seriously, when unique baby name spellings becomes a trend, it's not unique anymore-it's annoying. Okay, I'll get off my soap box now. i hope I don't offend anyone who reads your blog!

Our story goes like this...We pay more to get less. I don't know how it works but we always overpay for stuff. It has actually gotten to be a joke in the family.

Okay I know I am not the greatest at math but I don't get the Moose Counter: 16 alive and 1 dead doesn't quite make 14 total :0/

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
