Bring your sexy back
As I was getting ready to go out to dinner tonight with JaDee and Olivia. The boys opted for Ramen and a night of DS playing so we let them stay in. I was changing out of my 2 day worn sweats and decided to try to spice it up a bit. There was in fact a heat wave of sorts here in the Great White North and it actually got above 0. Maybe I could wear something a little sexy.
Hmmmmm what do I have in my suitcase...turtlenecks (4), cardigans to go on top of turtlenecks (several), Jeans (4), navy, olive or khaki pants, Uggs, Keens, or Born shoes and 2 pair of riding style boots i got for 70% off on my birthday, plus an assortment of long sleeved T's in various sexy colors like black and orange. A couple even have stripes. wow. I have a serious lack of an edgy wardrobe.
And really, is 0 degrees really all that warm?
I was thinking I was not so sexy with those frumpy I-live-in-Alaska-now outfits. Oh wait...those outfits came with me from Utah. I wasn't sexy then either!
A little quote or two...
“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving
"Education enriches the mind and enlightens the
soul," --Nicole Moncur 2008"Reading can be dangerous." --Diane Setterfield, The Thirteenth Tale
BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. CampbellI always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston

I have always had this romanticized dream of moving to Alaska and living in some remote, yet charming town (like in that show with that Anne Heche woman)with magnificent scenery. I only have this dream in the summer, because right now it is 0 degrees in Minnesota and I have no desire to live here, much less travel further North!
PS, I love your moose counter!
haha...as i was snow mobiling on my bday...i had a lot of time to think..as i was heading up and around the trail...i thought this new year i was going to be more adventurous..i use to be..even to the point of scary..i felt a thrill i had not for a long time...so i say bring on back your sexy!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. check my blog out for more about my adventure..i saw my life and savannahs life flash before me...and i did not even swear in that moment of near death!!
yeah...I got nothing sexy either...I lost my "groove" long ago, but you still got it goin' on! Hang in there!!
I love it! My maternity wardrobe has a serious lack of sexy as well! I posted a very long comment on your previous post, feel free to read it if you want. I just kept writing... again, I'm signed in as Mitch, but it's Cara of course.
Nicole, Sexy is an attitude not an outfit. I don't care if you are wearing longjohns 4 shirts 2 pants and your not so wonderful but very warm lumber jack coat on (this is what I would wear in AK), you have to have the attitude. And that my friend I know you have! Keep up the search for warm sexy clothes for your Hot Dates on zero degree nights!
Hugs!
Jennie
Okay, I soooo know how you feel!!! In fact, it's 5:30 and I'm still in my pajamas because I didn't have anything that I could put on that I didn't want to get dirty, just in case, I wanted to wear it out "sometime". I'm lame!
