Pure majesty

I have so much to tell you! But in the mean time enjoy this picture of Mt. McKinley.

The tallest point of North America at 20,320 feet. We were part of the lucky 30% to ever see the top. But not part of the 10% to actually see the whole thing all at once. It is so much taller than anything else around that it aactually creates it own weather so the clouds are abundant. By the time we got to the part of the National Park that you could see the whole mountain, the clouds had moved in and you would never guess a mountain was even back there.

Yup. Mt.McKinley is back there under all those clouds. Better go buy the postcard.

I saw Denali the first time coming into Anchorage...and have never seen it since! I've been up there 6 times this summer! It is really an incredible sight!

I worked at the Denali Princess Lodge for two summers so that area holds a place in my heart. I'm glad you are seeing so much of AK.

PS I tried 2 times to put up a video of Senneca doing gymnastics, it must have been too big.

Thanks for entering our giveaway! I decided to look at your blog because I liked the name (Nichole) and I noticed that you are from Utah. Where did you move up from? We moved up about 2 years ago from Spanish Fork. Thanks for stopping by and posting our button!

A little quote or two...

“There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.” -Washington Irving

BOOK HOUSE from the paper of my Grandfather Sidney W. Campbell

I always think the cover of a book is like a door Which opens into someone's house where I've not been
before. A pirate or a fairy queen may lift the latch for me. I always wonder when I knock, what welcome there will be. And when I find a house that's dull, I do not often stay But when I find one full of friends, I'm apt to spend the day. I never know what sort of folks will be within you see. And that's why reading always is so interesting to me. ~~Annie Fellows Johnston
